Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Where is the 'PC-Mac PasswordVault' preferences folder?
A. This folder is in the 'Preferences' folder inside the 'Library' folder in your user folder on MacOS X, in the 'Preferences' folder inside the 'System' folder on MacOS Classic, in the 'WinNT' folder in Windows 2000, and in the 'Windows' folder in Windows 9.x.

Q. What files or folders do I need to backup to protect my PC-Mac PasswordVault data?
A. Just export your data in PC-Mac PasswordVault (PV data) file format, and backup this file.

Q. Where is the main PC-Mac PasswordVault data file stored?
A. On the desktop verson, the file is called 'Prefs.txt' and it is located in the 'PC-Mac PasswordVault 2.x' preferences folder. On the portable version, the file is called 'Prefs.txt' and it is located in the 'Data' folder inside the main PC-Mac PasswordVault application folder.

Q. How do I move my service information across to another computer?
A. Press the Export button and save your service data in a PC-Mac PasswordVault (PV data) format file. Then move this data file to the other computer, press the Import button on PC-Mac PasswordVault on the other computer, select the PC-Mac PasswordVault (PV data) file format and select the data file. Your service data will then be imported - any new services will be added, and any existing services will be updated (if a particular service's data is newer). This process works across all platform versions of PC-Mac PasswordVault.
